THE STUDY OF THE POSSIBILITIES FOR IMPORT SUBSTITUTION OF SOFTWARE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The paper describes the situation on the software market of the Russian Federation, and suggested possible ways of development of the information technology industry in Russia. Discusses the market for operating systems in Russia, among which the most popular operating systems, with a leading position in the world, and operating systems are partly or completely developed in Russia. The mentioned problems of the domestic market for software related to the fact that of the popularity of Microsoft Windows operating systems and macOS contribute to a wide range of professional software for processing video, images and music compositions. It is concluded that for a complete switch to domestic software, you must first create software, similar to that currently used in the country
