DOI:
The article conducted a scientific review of econometric and agent-oriented models where: - the impact of national human capital on the economic growth of countries was assessed; - the factors of human capital development and the conditions necessary to increase the quality of human capital in developed, transitional and developing countries were studied; - the influence of investments on the formation of the intellectual abilities of individuals, the accumulation of their professional knowledge and experience, the changing status of health were analyzed; - the influence of demographic trends on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of human capital was revealed. The bidirectional interacting nature of the process of increasing the quality of human capital and the socio-economic development of the society was analyzed. Comparative analysis of foreign and domestic literature in terms of the subject-matter, stated in the article, shows that currently in our country there is a lack of the necessary amount of detailed statistical and sociological data for assessing and measuring the different qualitative characteristics of human capital (both at individual and regional levels), as well as the macroeconomic consequences of investing in the social sphere with the aim of developing human capital in the social and economic conditions of our country. The obtained conclusions are of interest in the aspect of constructing an agent-oriented model of human capital and its reproduction on a regional scale, including the development of a model of human capital at the individual level with modeling of labor potential.
