The possibility of development of a power amplifier for a pulsed radar system with specified input and output power parameters (Pin = 1 kW, with Pout = 1 W) is considered. Reducing the number of amplification stages, and consequently minimizing the cost of the device, is achieved by using a bunch of metal-oxide-semiconductor and bipolar transistors in the design of the power amplifier. When developing the basic electrical circuit, in addition to the power requirements, the cost and weight and size indicators of the structural elements were also taken into account. For the calculated power amplifier, a schematic diagram was developed, the element base was selected, the printed circuit board substrate was selected, the matching circuits were calculated, and the power amplifier design was developed. The proposed design fully provides the required output signal parameters.
